Well well, after months of denial by MTV, the truth is out. A September press release stated:
EUROPE'S MOST WANTED MAN EXITS MTV
MTV's most infamous presenter, Ray Cokes, has decided to leave the channel after nine years.
Ray joined Europe's premier music youth channel in 1987 at it's launch and has been responsible for award-winning shows including, 'In Search of Madonna', 'Most Wanted' and more recently 'X-Ray Vision'. The programmes - a mad cap concoction of live bands, celebrity interviews, interactive phone-ins with stars and viewers - topped with hard hitting humour and ironic charm, have made Ray Cokes into a household name across Europe
Ray's next project is a new radio show from Berlin starting this October, and he is currently in discussions with a major production company with plans for a groundbreaking TV show just around the comer.
Ray comments, "I've had a great nine years, but now it's time to move on. The reaction from fans all across the continent and beyond has been amazing. I have no intention of turning my back on Europe, and will be back on air again soon - so watch out!
Since the above Ray has released a new CD in Germany entitled, 'Enjoy Ray Cokes', on which; 'Ray Cokes presents great quality tracks from some of his favourite bands' I also hear rumour that Ray may have featured in a new Israeli TV advert.
